I asked the seller if she would sell and ship just the tin clamp handle for a lower price...V

That is a good idea! I can't figure out what the other piece is or does. When I originally saw the item the two handles were up for auction with a starting bid of $3.99. It was surprising to see them relisted as a Buy now item at an even higher price. Even at the current Buy Now price they are cheaper than the modern reproductions that are currently available from the sources listed on the virtual convention site.
